At the beginning of the year, most probably with a gin in hand, I pronounced to the family that I would make a new recipe every week for the whole year. OMG, a scary thought the next day but actually, it has proven to be a great idea and not hard at all!
We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage lads growing by the second, so we need great tasting food and plenty of it. We shop on a Sunday and plan for Sun- Thurs so it actually isn't a major hassle to add in a new recipe and have all the ingredients on hand when the designated night comes around.
Your cookbook has honestly been used the most and my lads, otherwise known as 'the gannets' each have their own favourites.
Chicken biriyani, Dulcie's soup, Chilli Con Carn, Pad Thai, Steak with onions and blue cheese, banana and choc pinwheels.....the list goes on.
If anyone is looking for a great way to get their cooking mojo back, then they need to simply buy your book!
My biggest problem is that fact that I don't get to eat any of the leftovers because my lads start asking for the leftovers to be saved for their lunch the next day, before they have even finished their dinner! Truthfully!
I have decided to keep this going into next year and will need you to bring out another book Jax. Keep them coming chickee!
