Chocolate, pear and nutty cream is a great combination – a little decadence along with some fruit. You’ll never feel guilty after this one… and if you only have a little slice, there may be room for another small sliver!

What’s not to love?  This cherry pie is everything you could ever want when baking a sweet, sweet something.  The house fills with the sticky delicious aroma whilst you’re making the filling, then the deeper mouthwateringly butter pastry baking in a hot oven.  By the time the pie is out and cooling, you’re ready with the cream for pouring and the spoon for digging in.

Historically made with raspberry jam and slivered almonds, and occasionally stewed fruit like apples – Here I’ve spiced it up with lemon curd and ginger for a real zing and lovely tartness. A nice tart tart – a bit like me really!

In the winter this was a consolation prize when standing at a cold,wet bus stop waiting to get home from school… serve it in large slabs, with oodles of custard or a nice mug of ‘Rosie-Lee’ (tea)…

As well a being my favourite colour, these darling little cheesecakes are velvety smooth and delicious. Topped with a dollop of cream and grating of white chocolate, oh so decadent too. Shhhh – I can get a whole one in my mouth – can you?
